The Nissan NP300 Navara wins pick-up of the year
The Nissan NP300 Navara has won the coveted European 2016 International Pick-up of the Year award at a ceremony in Lyon, France. Nissan’s pick-up was already successfully launched in several global markets, while fighting off stiff competition. Judges praised its superior on-road and off-road capabilities, as well as its strong engine performance and payload capacity.
The Nissan NP300 Navara is commonly known in South Africa as the Nissan Navara, and as the name suggests this vehicle has earned a reputation for reliability and ruggedness. Nowhere is this more evident than in its sturdy, closed-section ladder-type frame. The Nissan Navara is fearless on the open road or on rough terrain, never shying away from a challenge. The new design commands attention with its heavily sculpted hood, luxurious chrome grill, and sleek lines. It even features an attractive and functional ducktail rear spoiler, which improves aerodynamics.
The Navara maintains amazing off-road ability and durability while still offering improved comfort and luxury. While sporting a range of exciting features, this Nissan doesn’t confine itself to any boxes, but rather has different functions for the different needs of the driver. The double cab for family holidays or camping trips, the Nissan Navara has got your every need covered. In virtually any situation and on just about any type of terrain, you can depend on it to get the job done every time – no matter what you ask of it. The diesel engine combines low fuel consumption with long service intervals and it performs as well on the books as it does on the job. It’s not surprising that after the rigorous international pick up testing process, the Nissan Navara takes the cake as the number 1 pickup of the year and is also the only double cab to have made the prestigious Wesbank Car of the year semi-final’s list for 2018.
