Nissan South Africa to introduce the all-new Qashqai
ROSSLYN, South Africa, September 20, 2022 – Nissan South Africa is reinforcing its position as a leader in the South African crossover segment with the introduction of the all-new, segment-defining, third-generation Qashqai later this month. In South Africa, the previous two generations defined the domestic crossover market and have set the bar higher with every version.
Road tripping in the all-new Qashqai
As part of Nissan’s launch activities, the automotive brand hosted an exclusive influencer road trip through the Garden Route. As a pre-cursor to the launch of the all-new Qashqai, actress Zola Nombona and filmmaker, director Thomas Gumede were able to highlight their experience of the vehicle, noting the premium finishes, integration of technology to enhance driving experience whilst showcasing the bold new design.
With a 1.3T engine, manual or new Xtronic transmissions, the all-new Qashqai's powertrain options cater for every customer requirement, with driving pleasure at the heart of it all.
Redefined crossover to capture your heart
Underpinning the all-new Nissan Qashqai is the new Alliance CMF-C platform, creating a vehicle which succeeds in reconciling the challenging customer demands in terms of design, spaciousness, dynamics and carbon footprint. On top of the new platform, Nissan has reworked the steering configuration to reduce the feeling of friction through the steering wheel and where the feeling around the straight-ahead position is more positive and defined. In terms of driving dynamics, one of the most significant factors in performance is the overall increase of stiffness in the Qashqai's body. In conjunction with the precisely tuned suspension springs and damper rates, the all-new Qashqai will have increased precision, response and reduction in vibrations.
South African motorists can expect to experience e-POWER technology in early 2023.
